Strengthening Your Marriage
Why is it so important to strengthen your marriage when you are losing weight?
If you are losing weight to become happier and healthier, then you will probably be disappointed once you have reached your target weight if your marriage isn't healthy too.
Research shows, on average, a healthy marriage has a greater impact in your health and happiness than reaching your target weight. This doesn't mean you shouldn't also be working on attaining a healthy weight. The key to becoming healthier and happier is to work on using the healthy weight loss tips, strengthening your marriage and improving yourself.
Losing weight can also sometimes be hazardous to your marital health. If you are not careful, your spouse may become resentful and develop negative feelings towards you as you lose weight. To decrease your chances of damaging your marital relationship, I recommend you do the following:
1. Do not try to convince your spouse to try any of the weight loss tips.
2. Do not make changes to the food or snacks your spouse has always had access to.
3. Do not ask your spouse to exercise with you.
4. Ask your spouse to let you know if there is ever anything you say or do that makes him or her feel like you think he or she should also be losing weight.
5. Accept the eating habits, exercise habits, and the body shape of your spouse. Don't try to force him or her to change anything.
6. Make sure your spouse knows you love him or her just the way he or she is.
7. The most important tip is to work extra hard at strengthening your relationship.
Even if you do the first six tips perfectly your spouse could still end up resenting your weight loss and feel negative feelings towards you.
Even if you are 100% sure losing weight will have a positive impact on your marriage you still should learn and implement the strengthening marriage tips.
The reality is we all should be doing more to strengthen our
marriages. All the time and effort you put into strengthening your marriage will significantly increase your chances of living a healthier and happier life.

Quick weight loss~ 3 days, 10 pds take the challenge~
I am promising a quick weight loss, cleansing, lower cholesterol, and increased energy. When I first tried this I thought, "this is ridiculous, there is know way I can loose 10 pds in 3 days, AND if I do... I will just gain it back by the 5th day."
The 3 Day Diet is a regimented plan that must be followed exactly for three days at a time, followed by normal eating for four or five days before opting to resume the plan again.
Followers of the 3 Day Diet are promised up to a 10 pound weight loss in three days, although realistically, most of that weight is likely due to fluid loss and not the more desirable fat loss. To achieve the proposed loss, exercise is not mentioned in the plan.
My first experience with this diet was a little over a year ago. I was going to the gym 4-5 days a week for 2 hours a night to be in shape for my wedding in July. When I first started the gym in Dec. of 2004 I weighed 160 pds and I am 5'6. By May I was stuck at 139 and my goal was 125, so I came across this diet and I was very skeptical, but thought... what do I have to loose. The first week of June I decided I would give it a try... day 4 I was 130 pds and had so much more energy at the gym. I didn't make it to 125 for my wedding but I did make it to 128 and I was hot.. hot... hot~
Over a year later I weight 138 and starting Monday the 30th I am taking the 3 day diet again.
I challenge you to take it with me, and I would love to hear comments on how you are doing with it.
But remember... H2O is your friend~ Drink, Drink, Drink...
What You Can Eat
The 3 Day Diet is a very specific food plan that must be followed precisely. Portions must be eaten exactly as specified and dieters are warned not to overeat -- otherwise the promised 10 pound weight loss may not be achieved. Likewise, dieters should not under-eat, even if they are not hungry. The detailed plan does not mention or recommend any exercise.
The 3 Day Diet meal plan:
Day 1
Breakfast
Black coffee or tea, with 1-2 packets Sweet & Low or Equal
1/2 grapefruit or juice
1 piece toast with 1 tablespoon peanut butter
Lunch
1/2 cup tuna
1 piece toast
Black coffee or tea, with 1-2 packets Sweet & Low or Equal
Dinner
3 ounces any lean meat or chicken
1 cup green beans
1 cup carrots
1 apple
1 cup regular vanilla ice cream
Day 2
Breakfast
Black coffee or tea, with 1-2 packets Sweet & Low or Equal
1 egg
1/2 banana
1 piece toast
Lunch
1 cup cottage cheese or tuna
8 regular saltine crackers
Dinner
2 beef franks
1 cup broccoli or cabbage
1/2 cup carrots
1/2 banana
1/2 cup regular vanilla ice cream
Day 3
Breakfast
Black coffee or tea, with 1-2 packets Sweet & Low or Equal
5 regular saltine crackers
1 ounce cheddar cheese
1 apple
Lunch
Black coffee or tea, with 1-2 packets Sweet & Low or Equal
1 boiled egg
1 piece toast
Dinner
1 cup tuna
1 cup carrots
1 cup cauliflower
1 cup melon
1/2 cup regular vanilla ice cream
In addition to its strict daily food prescription, dieters drink 4 cups of water or noncaloric drinks daily.
How It Works
By some unspecified magical force, the combination of the suggested foods included in this plan is supposed to create a unique metabolic reaction and boost fat burning.
Without an author or book, there is no documentation or explanation of how the 3 Day Diet food combinations burn fat, increase energy, cleanse the body, or lower cholesterol.
As the name suggests, the 3 Day Diet lasts only three days, though it's said that it can be repeated indefinitely, as long as you alternate with
4-5 days of undefined "normal eating." The purpose of returning to your usual eating style is to keep your metabolism from slowing, reverting to fat-storing, starvation mode.
